The Member Engagement Manager will manage and grow donor affinity programs to meet outreach, engagement, and fundraising goals. This position is responsible for developing strategies to engage diverse volunteer and donor groups, fostering deeper relationships, and stewarding members through meaningful activities. The Member Engagement Manager will also collaborate with Volunteer programs to ensure the integration of donor affinity groups into Community Build Days and other volunteer initiatives. Additionally, the role provides administrative support to the Strategic Engagement Committee (SEC). Key Responsibilities: Program Oversight: Manage, cultivate and grow the following donor affinity groups to foster their involvement in the organization's initiatives, guide outreach, fundraising, and volunteer efforts. Faith Committee Ambassador Council (Young Professionals Group) Ambassador Council Alumni Group CREW (Women+ Group) Board Emeritus/Alumni Group Develop and Execute Strategies: Design and implement structured frameworks for affinity groups that drive donor acquisition, increase fundraising potential, and expand volunteer participation, ensuring alignment with the development team's broader goals. Create and implement recruitment, engagement and fundraising strategies for affinity groups that align with the organization's mission and objectives. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to facilitate outreach, engagement, and stewardship activities. Engagement and Stewardship: Plan and execute meetings, volunteer opportunities, and stewardship activities for affinity groups. Collaborate across departments including with the Volunteer Programs to ensure donor affinity groups are meaningfully integrated into Community Build Days and other hand-on volunteer activities. Develop strategies to promote inclusion and diversity within donor groups and across volunteer events. Ensure timely and accurate reporting on all donor and volunteer touchpoints. Track and Report Outcomes: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for each affinity group. Regularly report on fundraising progress, volunteer engagement, and overall program impact to the Director of Development and other stakeholders. Maintain accurate records of all affinity group members, activities, and engagement levels in the organization's CRM system (Raiser's Edge) Manage program budget. SEC Administrative Support: Work closely with Director of Development to provide logistical and administrative support for the Strategic Engagement Committee (SEC), which consists of board and community members, including scheduling, meeting preparation, and minutes. Assist in other development team activities as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: 2+ years of experience in donor relations, community engagement, or volunteer management, preferably in a nonprofit setting. Experience managing affinity groups or volunteer committees. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially with data management and event coordination. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse groups of stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners. Ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment, ensuring both short-term tasks and long-term projects are completed efficiently and effectively. Proficiency with office technology and information systems (including Word, Excel, Outlook) and robust understanding of donor database software and moves management systems. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. The employee will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers and phones This position may have occasional local travel Schedule Office/Hybrid 40 hours a week generally Mon-Fri 8:30-4:30, but variable, occasionally evenings and weekends dependent upon appointments and events. Some travel and occasionally work from a build site or company's location. Hybrid office environment. Starting Salary Expectations: Minimum $53,550 to salary range midpoint of $65,245. Placement will generally not exceed the midpoint based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. The full salary range is $53,550 to $77,648.
