Description

As a Chemical Operator Level 2 here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient operation of our chemical manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for operating and monitoring equipment, conducting quality control tests, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Your attention to detail and adherence to standard operating procedures will contribute to the production of high-quality chemical products. You will report directly to one of our Production Supervisors and indirectly to our Operations Manager, and you'll work out of our Orange, TX location on a Dupont work schedule. In this role, you will affect the efficiency and productivity of our chemical manufacturing facility by ensuring smooth operations and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Please note that the work schedule for this position may include overtime shift opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operate and monitor chemical processing production equipment
  • Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols while maintaining a safe working environment
  • Conduct quality control tests to ensure product specifications are met
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform basic maintenance tasks and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation
  • Relocate and manage bulk material using mechanical means (fork truck/drum and pallet handlers/super sack hoists)
  • Climb access ladders, stairs, use overhead lifting devices
  • Maintain responsibility for operations on the line
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes
  • Monitor production processes and ensure adherence to quality standards

YOU MUST HAVE
  • 2+ years of experience as a Chemical Operator or similar role
  • Knowledge of chemical handling and safety procedures
  • Basic computer skills

  • Experience with batch processing and continuous manufacturing
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
