Duties As a Transportation Operations Specialist, you will:
The ideal candidate will have a background in marine transportation, preferably with experience sailing as a licensed Deck Officer on a USCG Merchant Mariner Credential. The candidate will have experience working with the Department of Defense and other government agencies. The candidate will have experience working with personnel of various backgrounds and levels of experience, standing watch on a regular basis, presenting information both orally and in writing, writing reports and evaluations, and working with standardized processes and process improvement techniques. Education Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study - accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, nautical science, marine affairs, marine engineering, marine transportation, or other fields related to the position. For Marine Transportation Specialist positions, education obtained in a Federal, State, or other accredited Merchant Marine Academy is qualifying.
