What's the role?
This position ensures internal and external customers receive quality answers to technical inquiries regarding the use and/or application of Hilti Anchor and Direct Fastening (DF) products and creates engineering product submittals for field personnel to facilitate the sale of these key products. - Provide technical sales support through telephone and email related business.
- Create engineering product submittals for field personnel to facilitate the sale of key products.
- Meet assigned deadlines for project assignments.
- Remain current in the knowledge of building codes relative to the application of Hilti Anchor and DF products.
- Understand and apply approvals and listings for Hilti Anchor and DF products correctly in verbal and written communication with customers.
- Provide engineering support through the composition of letters regarding the application of Hilti products for external customers.
- Collect customer data and provide leads to Field Engineers in order to maximize coverage and penetration in the field.
- Provide Field Engineers with corporate support and relevant product information.
- Complete defined projects (e.g. presentation and intranet development, small testing projects, and other engineering assignments) in order to help support the activities of Hilti Field Engineers and other sales' personnel.
- Provide Field Engineer territory coverage as agreed with MO Technical Service management.
- Protect Hilti from liability exposure through utilization of sound engineering judgment.
- Additional duties as assigned.

What you need is:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology required - Civil, Architectural, or Mechanical discipline preferred
- E.I.T. preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, architects, contractors, and Hilti personnel through verbal and written response
- Ability to organize and utilize large amounts of reference information both in hardcopy and electronic files
- Ability to identify, analyze, and solve technical problems
- Ability to function effectively on teams
- Aptitude to read and understand blueprints, construction specifications, and documents
- Ability to effectively use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Primarily office conditions with occasional visits to jobsites
- Up to 15% (domestic/international/both) travel, required
Adverse Working Conditions - Job requires walking on construction sites and uneven surfaces, as well as climbing scaffolding, ladders, and stairs during all seasons of the year
- Depending on geography employees may be exposed to adverse heat or cold
- Construction jobsites may also expose specialists to excessively loud noises; ear protection is strongly encouraged and may be required on some jobsites
Safety Equipment Required - Hardhat, safety vest, safety glasses, gloves, steel toe boots, and long pants required for working jobsites; must observe and abide by any and all safety regulations as required by Hilti, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and General Contractors
Physical Requirements - Must be able to walk on construction projects, climb scaffolding, and lift and carry up to 65 pounds of Hilti product
