Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Supervisor. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Program Supervisor with a strong commitment to health disparities and community-engagement. Housed within the Section for Health Equity at NYU Langone's Department of Population Health, the Program Supervisor is responsible for coordinating research activities associated with studies on cardiovascular disease and diabetes designed to advance health equity in the South Asian community. Overall duties include coordination of communications and activities with study implementation sites and academic and community partners; oversight of research support staff, including field staff; monitoring and reporting of multiple study data platforms; development of research and training protocols, curricula, and products; maintenance of regulatory documents and IRB submissions; and meeting/event coordination. The Program Supervisor provides supervision of research support staff and interns and works under the general direction of the program Principal Investigator(s) and under direct supervision of the Co-Investigator. The successful candidate will have a high degree of professional maturity, commitment to excellence, independence, flexibility, and initiative, and will possess the ability to work collaboratively with diverse individuals, teams, and populations both internally and externally. Further, the Program Supervisor will work closely with community- and faith-based organizations in NYC that serve immigrant populations. Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a To qualify you must have a Bachelor degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Available to work onsite at the office and in community settings throughout NYC. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook. Familiar with other software applications (e.g., Zoom, WebEx, Google Drive). Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure. Ability to Project/Program manage and to multi-task while paying attention to details. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or equivalent in public health, sociology, psychology, health care administration, social work or closely-related field with minimum two (2) years of experience coordinating and implementing clinical and/or community-based projects or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience supervising staff members and working in collaborative environments. Strong understanding and knowledge base of coordination requirements associated with clinical/research trials. Intermediate to advanced technical skills in using computers and software programs. Competency using research-related software such as SPSS, NVivo, Dedoose, Endnote, Qualtrics, and REDCap. Competency using Google Drive office suite (docs, slides, and sheets), and intermediate to advanced knowledge of coding in Google sheets. Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems. Proficiency in using social media platforms. Proficiency in South Asian language preferred (e.g. Bangla, Urdu, Hindi). NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $62,400.00 - $85,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
