Duties As an Information Technology (IT) Specialist, you will:
The ideal candidate: NHTSA is looking for a highly motivate Information Technology Specialist with extensive cloud engineering and development experience working with high-capacity IT systems, delivering applications following DevSecOps models, configuration management, and development skills. The candidate will be expected to make progressive and continuous knowledge on IT Modernization and cloud-smart approach which keeping abreast with the emerging technologies. Acquiring necessary and relevant IT certifications along with FAC-COR certification will be critical for this position. For private sector candidates, the willingness to learn and acquire certifications will be critical. Requirements Conditions of Employment

Qualifications To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications for the grade at which you are requesting consideration. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of managing Cloud infrastructure (on prem and cloud) through its lifecycle 2. Knowledge of broad range on emerging technology with robotic process automation integrating AI/ML 3. Knowledge in IT project management. 4. Knowledge in developing program, process improvement, and management plans. 5. Knowledge of communicating in writing and verbally, IT concepts, plans, technical approaches, recommendations, and findings. For all types of consideration, experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
