The Volunteer Engagement Coordinator works under the Volunteer Engagement Manager to recruit, coordinate, and schedule volunteer groups across multiple locations. This position will work closely with the Development Team to continue cultivating relationships with current and new corporate sponsors when they volunteer as a group on construction sites and/or at the ReStores. In addition to coordinating volunteer groups, this position will ensure a streamlined group volunteer experience at all locations with ongoing communication with team leaders before, during, and after their scheduled day.

The successful Volunteer Engagement Coordinator will be highly organized, strong with communication, flexible with working on weekends as needed, thrives on relationship building, and technologically savvy with computer program software.

Responsibilities:
Act as the primary point for any group inquiry, including working closely with team leaders and communicating before, during, and after groups days to cultivate relationships
Recruit new community groups for the ReStores and construction sites as needed through networking with businesses, faith communities, schools, universities, etc.
Partner with the development team to coordinate sponsored volunteer groups on the build sites, at the ReStores, and at the warehouses. Organize lunches as needed to coincide with sponsored groups.
Communicate closely with build site and ReStore staff about upcoming volunteer group details
Visit build sites and ReStores to welcome sponsored volunteer groups, support any large volunteer groups (above 10 individuals), and ensure a consistent group experience across all locations
Audit volunteer groups in the volunteer management software, Get Connected, to verify hours have been recorded
Maintain metrics to support the progression of community groups and sponsored groups engaged at all locations
Supervise the internship program, including creating meaningful tasks for professional development and coordinating volunteer days at the

ReStores and on build sites
Research opportunities for future growth within group volunteering capacity at Habitat, such as including AmeriCorps NCCC and Collegiate Challenge teams, in alignment with overall strategic goals
Support the Volunteer Program Manager as needed in areas such as volunteer appreciation, event management, and recruitment
Represent the organization at tabling and outreach events, especially during the summer season

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
One year minimum experience working directly with volunteers in the nonprofit industry
Demonstrated experience with coordinating activities across multiple locations
Experience working with volunteer management software
Excellent interpersonal skills with experience cultivating professional partnerships
Ability to work independently and stay highly organized

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Experience with computer program software such as Get Connected, Sterling Volunteers, SmartSheets, and Microsoft365
Any qualifying combination of education, certification, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
OFFICE/HYBRID
Human-paced, open, team-oriented, business casual office
This position may be eligible for hybrid work based on responsibilities, performance, and access to essential work-related resources.
This job may operate at times in an open, warehouse retail environment and on construction sites
The employee will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines
This can be a sedentary role with computer and administrative work.
This position includes local travel to Habitat sites and locations.

Schedule
OFFICE
40 hours a week, M-F 8:30am-4:30pm and weeknight/weekend work as necessary

Starting Wage Expectations:
Minimum $20.84 to wage range midpoint of $25.40. Placement will generally not exceed the midpoint based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. The full wage range is $20.84 to $30.22.
