The Principal Chemical Engineer will support the development, innovation, commercialization, and project execution of the various Ortloff technologies. This role will continue to develop and improve design practices, tools, and infrastructure for Hydrocarbon technologies to ensure the technologies are competitively positioned in the marketplace. The Principal Chemical Engineer will be expected to make contributions to new business through technology differentiation and development as well as to support sales and business teams in developing new business growth opportunities. The Principal Chemical Engineer will work closely with the Technology Specialists and will play a critical role in helping to develop the technical bench strength across the technology family to ensure that there is sufficient global experience to meet the expected project load.

Key Responsibilities
  • Senior Level Engineering position providing guidance and information to lower level engineers and have responsibility for various projects and plans.
  • Play a leadership role in technology resolution
  • Drive maintenance, development, and improvement of infrastructure and tools.
  • Plan, organize, and communicate project technical needs to leadership
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years process and/or process design engineering experience in the Oil and Gas Industry or a related field

WE VALUE
  • Extensive process simulation experience using Unisim, Hysys, or similar.
  • Experience developing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Process and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs), and Equipment Process Datasheets
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, support tool infrastructure, and development opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, develop, and mentor others.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex and challenging problems.
  • Self-driven and always looking to improve on the current best practices or technology offering.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong internal and external customer facing skills.
  • Relevant experience using Process Simulation Software such as Unisim, Hysys, etc.
  • Relevant experience supporting a technology area.
  • 10+ years of experience in Hydrocarbon technologies.
