As a Sr. IT Project Management Specialist here at Honeywell, you will guide and mentor a team of IT project managers and specialists, shaping the strategic direction and effective execution of our technology projects. Collaborating closely with senior executives and cross-functional teams, you will align IT project strategies with business objectives. With your guidance, we'll navigate the complexities of project management, delivering projects that meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations.

You will report directly to our Director IT and you will work out of our Charlotte, NC location on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will guide a team, shaping the strategic direction and ensuring the successful execution of our technology initiatives. Your guidance will empower your team to excel, fostering their professional growth and development. By overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects, you will be instrumental in helping us achieve our long-term goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Guide and mentor a team of IT project managers, providing guidance, coaching, and fostering their professional growth.
  • Work closely with senior executives and cross-functional teams to define and execute IT project strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring they drive innovation and operational efficiency.
  • Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in project management, offering insights, best practices, and guidance to your team.
  • Oversee resource allocation, project prioritization, and technology investment choices to align with business objectives.
  • Ensure the consistent application of project management methodologies, governance, and compliance within your department.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • 6+ years of experience in IT project management, including at least 3 years in a guiding or managerial role.
  • Strong guiding skills with the ability to inspire and mentor a high-performing team.
  • Proven success in delivering complex IT projects, meeting quality, budget, and timeline expectations.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical choices in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding communication and people-oriented skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

WE VALUE
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as PMP, ScrumMaster, or similar.
  • Demonstrated success in driving digital transformation and strategic IT initiatives.
