New Jersey Resources is seeking a Financial Planning Analyst, responsible for various analyses of financial and non-financial data and business performance, including internal reporting and the company's Commitment to Stakeholders. Assist the Financial Planning & Analysis function of tracking and approving corporate expenditures and analyzing budget to actual results. Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions • Update, maintain and distribute internal finance reports and key performance indicators • Track and maintain the Company's performance around Commitment to Stakeholders; work with management from across the organization on understanding drivers and assist with annual target setting • Track and approve the Company's requests for purchase orders to ensure compliance with corporate policies and adherence to budgeted spend • Maintain the Company's variance analysis documentation for financial results compared to budget • Work with the Company's internal and external auditors and provide requested support from the Financial Planning & Analysis department • Perform financial analyses for internal projects • Conduct benchmarking and financial analysis • Build relationships with business unit management to understand business and strategy • Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance Position Requirements: • Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field • Minimum of two years of related experience required • Excellent Microsoft excel and analytical skills • Exceptional quantitative skills and an ability to perform a variety of financial and business analyses • Ability to think logically, strategically, and present complex data and ideas creatively and coherently • Ability to use software to increase efficiency and effectiveness • Knowledge of Oracle, TM1 and SQL a plus • Must be able to handle multiple projects at once and work in a team environment Position is hybrid: 3 days onsite in Wall Corporate Office, 2 days remote New Jersey Resources is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
