Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Coordinator. The Section for Health Equity at NYU Grossman School of Medicine's Department of Population Health is seeking to hire a full time Research Coordinator. The Research Coordinator will be responsible for both quantitative and qualitative analysis to help with current and future health equity research initiatives. Projects involve integration within a multidisciplinary team of partners in community based research community service nutrition epidemiology and public health across multiple partnering institutions. Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Bachelor degree or equivalent in business administration healthcare administration or related field Minimum of two years of progressively responsible project coordination experience preferably in a research setting Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word Excel Access Powerpoint and Outlook Familiar with Internet applications Effective oral written communication interpersonal skills Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently Commitment to continuous learning as required by department administration Ability to operate research related equipment Ability to work and make decisions independently Time management skills and ability to multitask Ability to identify analyze and solve problems: Ability to work well under pressure Preferred Qualifications: 1 Masters degree in epidemiology biostatistics public health or related fields strongly preferred 2 Record of leading peer reviewed publications 3 Ability to conduct qualitative analysis and/or mixed methods background 4 Interest and prior experience in policies and programs to improve diet/nutrition and other lifestyle behaviors 5 Strong commitment to health disparities and equity research 6 Innovation with formulating solutions in an applied setting 7 Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese Spanish and/or Bangla 8 Prior experience with literature reviews manuscript or grant preparation at an academic institution or equivalent 9 Flexibility with tasks e g grant writing to field work that is required for this position Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64,350.00-$81,900.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
