Basic Function and Responsibility: Under general supervision is responsible for coordinating the operational activities of the Automation / Mechatronics laboratories. Will assist full-time and part-time instructors in the operation and safe usage of the various apparatus and equipment and will help students during regular as well as open-lab periods and classes. Assist in budget development and maintain records of site licensing obligations as well as purchase orders and expenditures. Additional duties include the performance of routine maintenance and related work necessary for the efficient operation of the laboratories. Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:

Moderate lifting up to 50 lbs. Ability to reach above shoulder. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending and stooping, ability to use both hands, both arms, both legs with the ability to twist, turn, and bend from the neck and torso, ability to see color. Mobility to move from building to building on-Campus and to visit off-Campus entities. Additional Information: Supervision Exercised: Functional supervision may be exercised over student employees and/or lab assistants. Supervision Received: Administrative supervision is received from the Dean of Business and Career Technologies (BCT). Functional supervision is received from the CAD / CIM Department Chair and/or Coordinator/s. HOURS: Hours vary per semester between: Monday - Friday - 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am - 1:00 pm (15 hours per week) Salary: $23.97 |
