Description

As a Machinist - Level 4 at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in our machining processes to ensure the production of high-quality parts. You will operate and set up various machines, such as lathes, mills, and grinders, to fabricate precision components. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations and the overall growth of our business.

You will report directly to our Machine Shop Manager and you'll work out of our Geismar, LA location.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency, productivity, and quality of our machining processes by operating and setting up machines, interpreting blueprints and specifications, and conducting quality inspections.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate and set up machines, such as lathes, mills, and grinders, to fabricate precision components
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications and quality standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to maintain production flow
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency

  • YOU MUST HAVE
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Machinist or in a similar role
    • Proficiency in operating and setting up machines, such as lathes, mills, and grinders
    • Strong knowledge of machining processes and techniques
    • Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
    • Attention to detail and ability to perform quality inspections
    WE VALUE
    • Associate's degree in Machining or a related field
    • Experience with CNC machining
    • Knowledge of programming and operating CNC machines
    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
    • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
