An excellent career opportunity is currently available for an Industrial Pipe Fitter-Lead R&D Tech, located at UOP's Research & Pilot Plant facility in McCook, IL.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

*Layout, install, and maintain piping and related accessories for all gas, liquid, and steam systems to support R&D Pilot Plant and Manufacturing facilities using safe work practices as defined by Honeywell.

*Perform and lead others on basic and major troubleshooting and repairs on process piping, utility headers, boilers, heat exchangers, and steam tracing.

*Subject Matter Expert in advanced threading, bending, and back welding flanged and socketed pipe.

*Work with all types of hand tools to complete repairs, preventative maintenance, and/or modifications to equipment.

*Support catalyst manufacturing plants through on call schedule and working as a team on jobs requiring more than one person.

The application period for the job is estimated to be 40 days from the job posting date; however, this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.

The annual base salary range for this position is $80,600-$100,700. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

YOU MUST HAVE

*High School Diploma or GED is required.

*Able to follow all established safety procedures and protocols.

*Experience and skill working with hand tools.

*Working knowledge of pipe fitting (threading, welding, and blueprint reading).

*Experience working with blueprints and P&ID's.

*Working knowledge of various materials including plastic, glass, stainless steel, structural steel, and sheet metal.

*Must be capable of lifting up to 35 pounds, working on elevated platforms as well as climbing ladders and using portable lifts.

*Must be able to be on call up to two weeks a month.
