Description

As a Sr IT Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in managing and maintaining our systems infrastructure, with a specific focus on Government Community Cloud High(GCCH) environments. Your expertise in systems management, Intune, Tanium, scripting, and SCCM will be vital in ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of our IT systems. You will be tasked with implementing and managing Intune & Tanium for device management, scripting for automation and customization, and utilizing PatchMyPC, Intune, and SCCM for software deployment and patch management while adhering to GCCH compliance requirements.

You will report directly to our IT Director and you will work out of one of our Honeywell offices in Charlotte, NC, Phoenix, AZ or Houston, TX on a hybrid work schedule.

This role will be a key part of the IT End User Computing team and will have significant impacts on our IT operations, ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions that meet the unique needs of our organization, particularly within the GCCH context.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Implement and manage Intune and Tanium, for device management in a GCCH environment, ensuring the security and compliance of our IT systems
  • Plan, execute, and monitor End User Computing infrastructure server upgrades, as well as new server deployments and decommissioning of obsolete servers.
  • Work closely with the security team to identify and design measures to safeguard the system against security breaches, with a focus on GCCH compliance, prioritizing efforts based on risk.
  • Develop and maintain scripts for automation and customization of IT processes, enhancing operational efficiencies.
  • Utilize Intune, Tanium, and PatchMyPC for software deployment, patch management, and inventory management while adhering to GCCH standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement IT solutions that meet business requirements, ensuring alignment with GCCH regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT system issues effectively, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to operations
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in systems management and IT infrastructure, and GCCH compliance
  • Serve as subject matter expert escalation for Windows desktop issues, supporting IT support specialists with various complicated technical challenges.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • 5+ years of combined experience in the management, administration, and architecture of Windows and Windows MDM tools (Intune/SCCM/Tanium) with specific experience in GCCH environments.
  • Microsoft EMS (Intune, Autopilot & Azure AD), incl. integration with Auto Pilot
  • Advanced troubleshooting abilities, including debugging network, security, Active Directory, database, and application issues
  • Proficiency with server, storage, and network virtualization technologies
  • Experience with cloud-based IT solutions and services (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud), with focus on GCCH compliance
  • Strong scripting skills, with proficiency in PowerShell or other scripting languages
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
WE VALUE
  • Certifications in relevant technologies such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM, or scripting languages
  • Experience with Mac management utilizing JAMF Cloud
  • Experience with Power Bi and/or other reporting tools
  • Experience managing Linux-based operating systems
