*This role is for 2nd shift - 3pm to 11pm. Pay range is $22.67 to $35.42 based on experience. $2.00 shift differential for 2nd shift*

Must be able to train on first shift for up to 6 months.

As a Production Welding Technician here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our welding processes at our Port Manatee, Florida location. You will be accountable for performing welding operations, inspecting welds for defects, and maintaining welding equipment. Your expertise in welding techniques and attention to detail will contribute to the success of our Energy & Sustainability Solutions (ESS) business unit and help us deliver high-quality products to our customers.

You will report directly to your Production Supervisor and work out of our Port Manatee, Florida location. Employees must be available to work any of the three shifts.

In this role, you will have a significant impact on our ESS business unit by ensuring the integrity of welded components, meeting production targets, and maintaining a safe working environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform welding operations according to specifications and standards.
  • Perform fitting, cutting, and grinding operations as needed.
  • Inspect welds for defects and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  • Maintain welding equipment and troubleshoot any issues.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Experience and knowledge of GTAW, GMAW and FCAW welding processes.
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques and equipment, aluminum welding experience required.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting welding blueprints and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS welding symbols.
  • Attention to detail and ability to inspect work.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
  • Basic knowledge of math, geometry, and angles.
  • Familiar with using the metric system.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
WE VALUE
  • Pressure vessel manufacturing in accordance with ASME Section VIII div. 1 code.
  • Pipe fitting and welding in accordance with B31.3 Process piping code.
  • NDE experience (Penetrant testing)
  • Experience with mechanized welding techniques (SAW).
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • 3+ years of experience preferred.
