SUMMARY: The BioMarin Summer Internship Program will enable students to gain valuable experience and knowledge of the processes and systems within BioMarin, while gaining an insight into the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. Over the course of 10 - 12 weeks our interns gain industry experience while working alongside our talented team on meaningful projects. Business and Corporate Development plays a critical role in the strategic growth of BioMarin by leading corporate strategy initiatives and executing to various types of transactions (e.g. licensing, M&A, partnership efforts) to shape our pipeline. JOB DESCRIPTION/PROJECT : BioMarin is seeking a self-starter and results-oriented individual who is looking to gain hands-on, real-world experience as part of the Business Development (BD) team. We are looking for someone with both a strong fit with BioMarin's mission and culture along with the necessary research and analytical skills. A successful candidate has the ability to engage both with deep scientific thinking and the business needs that drive our organization and should be curious and driven to answer questions thoroughly. The intern will work closely with BD team members to assist across BD functions, including, but not limited to: secondary / primary research, analyzing deal landscape, creation of deals comp database, evaluation of assets, document creation / data / NDA management and administrative tasks. BioMarin's summer internship program will take place over a 10 to 12-week period during the summer months, June through August. Responsibilities: Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
