About Technical Operations BioMarin's Technical Operations group is responsible for creating our drugs for use in clinical trials and for scaling production of those drugs for the commercial market. These engineers, technicians, scientists and support staff build and maintain BioMarin's cutting-edge manufacturing processes and sites, provide quality assurance and quality control to ensure we meet regulatory standards, and procure the needed goods and services to support manufacturing and coordinating the worldwide movement of our drugs to patients. SUMMARY: The BioMarin Summer Internship Program will enable students to gain valuable experience and knowledge of the processes and systems within BioMarin, while gaining an insight into the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. Over the course of 10 - 12 weeks our interns gain industry experience while working alongside our talented team on meaningful projects. This role reports into Sales and Operations Planning Director in Global Supply Chain organization. This department works in a multi-site production environment and plays a key role in interfacing with BioMarin's Commercial team for Forecasting and Demand Management. The purpose of this department is to improve the processes, systems, tools and capabilities within the organization pertaining to Sales and Operations Planning, Demand Planning & Scenario Planning. This department is instrumental in connecting Commercial and Operational organizations, influencing with relationship, data, and facts to drive business decisions that best balance service, cost and cash. S&OP Playbook update JOB DESCRIPTION/PROJECT: This role supports Global Planning, role will be collaborating with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and SAP team in up-revving S&OP Playbook to reflect the most recent changes, including both Commercial and Clinical. This role is a high profile one that has direct interaction with both Commercial and Operational organizations and work performed in this role is instrumental in further maturing our overall S&OP process and effectiveness.
