Responsibilities The Epidemiology Program in the Public Health Sciences Division at Fred Hutch invites applications for a Program Assistant who will work with Dr. Chris Li and his team in support of two large cancer research studies. This is an entry-level position as part of the Cancer Epidemiology Research Cooperative. Fred Hutch serves as the coordinating center for the TRANCE consortium, a Department of Defense funded study of breast cancer. The successful applicant will be involved in the coordination of meetings, biospecimen and data management, and administrative support in the TRANCE consortium. The study is led locally by Dr. Li in close collaboration with other Fred Hutch investigators as well as investigators from the Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah and Washington University in St. Louis, MO. In addition, this position supports a long-term study of colorectal cancer called ColoCare. Under the direction of the study manager, the Program Assistant will assist in coordinating meetings, specimen shipments between sites, and conducting daily operational work to ensure that the overall research project goals of each study are met. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team are critical to this position. Program Assistant II: The hourly pay range for this position is from $25.22 to $35.90 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
