Resp & Qualifications PURPOSE: CareFirst is looking for a strong and innovative leader to oversee an insurance captive. This role is responsible for leading and overseeing the operations, strategy, and performance of CareFirsts insurance captive. The director plays a key role in captive strategy development and execution, ensuring effective captive operations, achieving financial goals, and complying with regulatory standards. This role actively identifies and pursues new market growth opportunities and works collaboratively to retain existing business and collaborates with internal and external partners on initiatives ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position manages people. QUALIFICATIONS: Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Finance or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience. Experience: 8 years finance, business, marketing, underwriting and/or claims experience with an emphasis on strategic growth. 3 years management experience. Preferred Qualifications:

Licenses/Certifications: Current Health & Life and Property & Casualty licenses for any of the mid-Atlantic jurisdictions - Upon Hire Required Salary Range: $126,400 - $234,630 Salary Range Disclaimer The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the work is being performed.
