Key Responsibilities: Storeroom Clerk
  • Locate materials and items from receiving to storage or to other designated areas by hand, fork truck, or industrial cart
  • Data entry of materials or items received or issued
  • Fills work orders, or request for materials stocked in the store room and distributes items to maintenance or production
  • Maintains inventory records
  • Uses computer to enter and maintain inventory records
  • Performs housekeeping duties as required.
  • Ship domestic and international materials as required.
  • Working knowledge of process of reconciliation and trouble-shooting for missing and/or incorrect materials.
  • Working knowledge of materials on hand and ability to ascertain correctness of new materials ordered.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to safely perform the following tasks:
  • Lifting of up to 55 pounds without mechanical assistance.
  • Climb a vertical ladder up to 15ft
  • Climb several flights of stairs, several times a shift
  • Stand for up to 1 hour without sitting
  • Bending and twisting motion at the waist and knees
  • Ability to work a rotating shift schedule with the flexibility to work alternate schedules as needed.

About You

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or the equivalent. Associate Degree preferred.
  • 2 to 3 years experience in logistics, warehousing, shipping and receiving, or inventory management preferred
    • Experience shipping hazardous materials preferred
    • Experience using a forklift preferred
  • Clerical Skills (including computer skills)
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
    • Previous experience in using a computerized maintenance management system
    • SAP experience preferred, but not required
  • General knowledge of machinery, parts, and equipment preferred
  • Organizational skills, detail oriented
  • Customer Service oriented
  • Problem Solving and Analytical Skills

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions on site. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust. In addition this job also operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
