Description The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) is a nationally recognized and award-winning agency providing land use planning; stewardship of natural, cultural, and historic resources; and delivery of recreation programs to the communities it serves. The M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation in Prince George's County, has an opening for an Assistant Golf Course Manager (Head Golf Professional) at Enterprise Golf Course! Under general direction, assists the Facility Manager with the day-to-day programs and operations of an outstanding multifunctional recreational facility that includes an 18-hole golf course, driving range, practice area, snack bar, and pro shop. This position typically involves assisting the Facility Manager with the design, implementation, and management of a wide variety of recreational, sporting, cultural, and revenue-generating programs serving the needs of a diverse community. Assignments could include but not limited to responsibility for the total operation in the absence of the Facility Manager, building maintenance, program administration, budget management, and staff supervision. Job assignments require the regular exercise of independent judgment and performance of duties within very general policy guidelines. We require managers at this level to assist in the development of successful business strategies and methodologies to achieve optimum facility operations.
