SUMMARY OF POSITION

Start date negotiable. Long term intern

The Risk Management Intern will support the Office of Finance’s Risk Management Department by assisting with special projects and various day-to-day risk management activities.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Assist with execution of the day-to-day risk management activities, including those related to information governance, business continuity and resiliency, operational risk, and vendor risk
Assist with implementation of information governance risk mitigation and oversight mechanisms
Assist with development and implementation of policy governance framework
Assist with preparation of vendor risk reviews and maintenance of the vendor management application
Collaborate with team members on special projects and other department activities as needed
Attend intern meetings and complete tasks provided by Human Resources.
Support the OF’s diversity and inclusion (D&I) strategy by following policies and procedures that ensure opportunities for employees and diverse business partners.
Other duties as assigned.

PRINCIPAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Current enrollment in undergraduate degree program with an interest and aptitude to work in Risk Management and Compliance
Must be self-motivated and organized and have a high degree of discretion and attention to detail
Ability to listen and integrate ideas from diverse views, build and maintain respectful relationships, collaborate with others, and resolve conflicts constructively
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint preferred
Experience with risk management, compliance, or general business activities such as data entry preferred
Minimum GPA of 3.0
