ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: - Commercial Financial Planning and Analysis: Collaborate with various operational departments to run and maintain tools utilizing proforma, forecasts, budgets, actualized performance, and market data to support business decision making and financial models.
- Performance Management: Monitor and analyze actual versus planned performance from modeling and provide regular updates to business partners as to what is driving financial results through commercial activities (sales, price, volume, mix, Operational Excellence (OPX)). Engage proactively to promote best-in-class business decisions.
- Financial Modeling: Support running and any subsequent analysis of complex financial models that lead to decision-making. Perform sensitivity analysis and assess the impact of different financial variables on the organization's financial performance.
- Variance Analysis: Provide analysis of actual financial results against forecasting figures for specific business segments. Examine and provide input of significant variances, highlighting key drivers and trends. Collaborate with the department to develop action plans to address any deviations from financial targets.
- Management Reporting: Provide comprehensive financial tools, including key performance indicators (KPI's) on operational performance, such as sales output, costs, productivity, inflation, inventories, capital spending, etc. for preparation to review within internal department and with sales team. Provide insightful commentary on financial results, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities. Support requests from various business segments and Cross Functional teams.
- Financial Insights and Recommendations: Provide support and input in developing ad-hoc financial analysis and actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. Collaborate with teammates to evaluate cost optimization initiatives and other business opportunities.
- Continuous Improvement: Support process improvements within the Commercial Finance team and Operations Finance function that help drive initiatives to streamline reporting, enhance data accuracy, and increase efficiency. Actively participate in system implementations and upgrades to ensure the availability of reliable financial information.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or related degree. Relevant experience may substitute for degree requirements.
- One year of experience in commercial finance or Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A).
- Financial Acumen: Understand budgeting and forecasting and the ability to communicate results.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in financial analysis and data interpretation. Drive to dig deep into complexities, resolve inconsistencies, and synthesize data to actionable insight.
- Technology Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills, experience with financial planning software such as Oracle's Enterprise Performance and Financials Management applications, Tableau, Alteryx.
- Business Partnership: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making to apply sound business judgment and research what is driving the financial statements.
- Adaptability: Ability to multitask and deliver timely, accurate results. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with ability to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences, including senior management.
- Ability to use creative problem solving and analytical skills to understand the advantages and limits of different analytical approaches and studies, and their findings.
