This position is located in Region 9 with the Risk Analysis Branch, Mitigation Division. \u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EWhat will I do in this position if hired? \u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EIn this position, you will serve as the Senior Program Manager in the Risk Analysis Branch, Mitigation Division, leading a small team of Program Analysts in the implementation of FEMA\u0027s flood mapping program in Region 9.\u003Cbr\u003E\u003Cbr\u003ETypical assignments include:\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003ELeading efforts and perform supervisory oversight of program management staff as analyses of procurement costs, Earned Value performance, other performance metrics are conducted for Risk MAP programs, contracts, and projects.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EBuilding the annual Risk MAP procurement packages for Region 9 based upon program guidance, the Region\u0027s Multi-Year Mapping Plan, in coordination with branch staff and obtaining concurrence from regional senior leadership.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EAssist senior management in support of FEMA\u0027s strategic plan, mission, vision, and values by leading efforts to develop and implement strategic solutions to obtain program goals and objectives through documented work plans and standard operating procedure documents for program delivery and operational optimization purposes.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EAdvise and report to multiple levels of management on status, program risks, and accomplishments of managed work.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EAssuring contractor and subcontractor performance are in line with performance measures.\u003C/li\u003E\u003C/ul\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EWhat else do I need to know? \u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EAt FEMA, our mission is to help people before, during and after disasters, and every employee at FEMA has a role in emergency management. \u003C/strong\u003EEvery FEMA employee has regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites.
