Job Overview
As a Business Insights Analyst, you'll harness the power of data and analytical methods to tell a compelling story that turns insight into action for your stakeholders. You will work within an agile cross-functional data team to understand business needs, design comprehensive insight solutions, and support the deployment of BI products that will drive strategic decision making and measurement of results.
What You Will Do - Collaborate with pod leaders to understand business needs and support the intake/ road mapping of those priorities.
- Assist in various stages of the insight development process, from data sourcing, datasets, analysis, reporting, dashboard UX, documentation, and delivery.
- Execute projects with analytical best practices, linking data sources with quality and reliability that aids data-driven business decision making.
- Think logically toward problem solving with keen insights for business solutions and the analytical steps required to execute them through dashboards and reports.
- Use standard visualization tools to turn data into insights that tell a compelling story.
- Provide report testing support.
- Provide post-implementation support, including supporting the resolution of defects and actual "in-field" use of ad hoc reports.
- Assist in implementing training on how to use the dashboard.
- Update and maintain existing datasets and reports.
- Look for process improvement and inefficiencies whenever possible.
Skills You Will Need - Business Acumen: Possesses a curious mindset to build a foundational understanding of the retail business sector. Asks great questions.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Technical Analytics: Eager to learn more about data pipelines, analytical best practices, and interactive dashboard design.
- Relationships: Demonstrates an energetic and positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
- Collaboration: Customer-centric and experienced with successful cross-functional collaboration.
Who You Are - 1+ years of business analyst experience preferred.
- You have a foundational understanding of statistical analysis for business and familiarity with BI analysis/visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Highly proficient in Excel; with working knowledge of querying databases (SQL).
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Passionate about building great BI products and solving customer and business problems.

- Ability to adapt to changing business environments and requirements.
- Possesses high levels of ownership, innovation, and simplification with a strong bias for action.
