Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Prospect Research Analyst - Development & Fundraising.

In this role, the successful candidate reports to the Director of Prospect Research Management and Strategy and provides essential high quality philanthropic intelligence and analysis for strategic and data driven fundraising The PRMS Analyst will partner with gift officers to support their portfolio needs across the whole donor cycle from identification to stewardship Additionally the PRMS Analyst provides growth and support to the NYU Langone Health pipeline by working on proactive and reactive projects including those assigned by the PRMS team and leadership The PRMS Analyst will also assist and support the annual and mid level giving teams as needed

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify, research, and analyze information to create biographical and financial profiles on current donors, prospects, and suspects in support of solicitation strategies.
  • Engage vast amounts of publicly available information and wealth indicators to evaluate and identify new leads to build pipelines. This includes understanding capacity through financial analysis, as well as learning in-house algorithms.
  • Provide philanthropic intelligence in formats that are relevant to the gift and the audience.
  • Serve as the content expert from the annual to the principal gift levels across assigned service lines to optimize portfolios for gift officer partners in order to be a strategic partner at the institutional level.
  • Manage, track, and assign suspects and prospects, and implement NYU Langone Healths moves management system to maintain healthy, balanced, and successful portfolios. Also included are quality assurance and data integrity procedures for accuracy in projections and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain a familiarity NYU Langones top and prospective donors, and proactively share information across the team to undergird strategy conversations.
  • Track trends in philanthropy and fundraising to promote a best-in-class development office.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree required 4 5 relevant years of experience required including a minimum of 2 years of Development experience Prior experience using one or more fundraising databases Successful candidate will be a critical thinker with strong writing and analytical skills as well as have good judgement Self motivated well organized flexible and results oriented Ability to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure and in a fast paced environment Ability to work independently and as a team member Works strategically collaboratively respectfully and professionally with colleagues across all divisions and teams within the department Communicates clearly shares listens and recognizes others contributions Develops and enhances relationships through authenticity professionalism and trust Facilitates understanding through listening and crafting and delivering messages that meet the needs of different audiences Takes ownership of opportunities challenges and decisions to drive work and the organization forward Embraces and supports the values of diversity equity and inclusion and ensures that they are reflected in all aspects of our work Contributes on a daily basis to an environment where differences are welcomed and supported by embracing the perspectives and identities of all

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $62,400.00 - $89,888.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
