Job Title: Production Supervisor
Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
Location: Indoor manufacturing facility
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to lead and manage daily production operations for Poly-ISO Insulation and related products. This role is responsible for ensuring production efficiency, maintaining product quality, and promoting a safe working environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can step into multiple roles as needed to support the team and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Oversight: Manage and coordinate day-to-day production activities to meet operational goals.
- Safety Leadership: Enforce plant safety rules and procedures; ensure team compliance with regulations, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out protocols.
- Team Management: Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and support team development.
- Incident & Compliance Reporting: Prepare and maintain documentation for safety incidents, disciplinary actions, and compliance issues.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor material quality and promptly resolve any defects or issues.
- Training & Onboarding: Support onboarding and ongoing training for production staff.
- Facility Maintenance: Ensure cleanliness and organization of the plant, both inside and outside.
- Operational Flexibility: Provide coverage for other supervisory or production roles during vacations, absences, or off-site meetings.
- Waste Management: Oversee proper and safe disposal of waste chemicals.
Required Qualifications
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and supervisory experience
- In-depth knowledge of workplace safety regulations, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures
- Ability to manage production scheduling and interpret technical data
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (Excel, Word, Email, SFIS)
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience operating forklifts and using measurement tools (calipers, tape measures, heat sensors)
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education preferred
- 5-10 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Working Conditions
- Environment: Manufacturing facility with exposure to temperature changes, dust, chemicals, and heavy machinery
- Schedule: Minimum of 40 hours per week, with overtime as needed
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, climb ladders, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs; must possess adequate hearing and vision for safety and accuracy
Supervisory Scope
This position has full supervisory responsibility for production team members, including staffing, performance management, and daily oversight.
