Vital Incite, an Alera Group company, is looking to add an experienced Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence Developer to their team.

The Datawarehouse & Business Intelligence developer is responsible for developing and maintaining the Datawarehouse and business intelligence applications and reports. This position will work closely with the Product and Strategy team to understand business requirements, document, design, develop and maintain all the BI reports hosted by Vital Incite. This is a remote opportunity. Must be comfortable working within eastern time zone business hours.
The office is based in Indiana, but we're open to remote employees within the eastern time zone.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enhance and maintain BI reports.
- Enhance and maintain SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services) Tabular models and packages.
- Document, manage and enhance facts and dimensions with data integrity.
- Analyze data, design, develop and validate the BI reports and dashboards.
- Design, develop and maintain a self-service BI platform. Debug and validate any data issues reported.
- Provide support and training of Published reports and dashboards including solving for data issues reported.
- Manage the version control, migration and software development life cycle for all SSAS and BI reports changes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of overall IT experience
- 7+ years of hands-on Power BI report development and dashboard experience required.
- 5+ years of experience handling data warehouse, performance tuning SSAS Tabular Models required.
- Extensive experience in Datawarehouse and Data Mining using SSAS Tabular (SQL Server), Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Warehouse tools and technologies.
- Experience with Targit report development is a plus.
- Experience working in dimensional models and creating new dimensional models.
- Experience diagnosing and enhancing dimensional model to enhance performance and meet new business needs.
- Experience with Data science methodologies for analyzing huge data sets, slicing and dicing and developing interactive reports and dashboards
- Experience in debugging and performance tuning.
- Experience with software such as Tabular Editor and TMDL/Version control and SDLC in tabular models.
- Experience in building data marts and data modelling (Star/Snowflake Schemas) concepts for accurately defining dimensions, facts and hierarchies.
- Experience in developing complex BI reports with ability to drill down/up, and interactive dashboards.
- Experience in data science language like Python or R is a plus
- Experience in Azure technologies including Fabrics or Databricks is a plus
- Absolute knowledge of software development life cycle, version control and code migration. Experience with Azure DevOps is a plus.
- Working experience with SQL Server and SQL Queries
- Familiarity in healthcare domain with knowledge of medical claims, pharmacy claims, eligibility is a plus.

Salary range is starting at $110,000, depending on experience.
