Resp & Qualifications

PURPOSE:
Oversees various financial functions such as Provider reporting, lease accounting, monthly reporting (including Journal entry preparation), auditing, reconciliations, supporting schedules and variance analysis. Provides financial support to the business, including but not limited to Provider teams, Financial Planning and Analysis , and Real Estate. Interfaces regularly with provider groups, business areas, and senior leadership. Supports large and/or complex projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Plans and produces various financial reports. Analyzes trends, calculates and verifies data. Interfaces with other areas to develop reporting specifications, methods and procedures, and prioritizes requests.
  • Develops, coordinates, analyzes and verifies data and financial reports to produce schedules (including amortization schedules & quarterly/yean end disclosures). Creates and manages reporting. Develops specifications needed to develop methods and procedures for calculating data and presenting results.
  • Responds to manager, director, and executive inquiries, handles special requests, research complex accounting issues. Communicate with corporate management on accounting/financial processes and regulatory requirements. Prepare financial data for presentation to upper management.
  • Coordinates, reviews and analyzes major financial report submissions to ensure corporate compliance with applicable regulations, laws or guidelines. Gathers, compiles and interprets information collected through financial analyses in order to identify trends and provide insight for decision making.

QUALFICATIONS:

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree, Accounting, Finance, related field or technical training OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Experience: 5 years' Experience in a finance, accounting or an analytical role within finance sector or quantitative analysis.

Licenses/Certifications
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Upon Hire Preferred

Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA or MBA strongly preferred. Healthcare insurance industry experience strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
  • Proficient with financial analysis software (i.e., Delphi Technology, Oracle E-Business Suite Financials, Longview).
  • Proficient with database entry and query software.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence. Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.

    Salary Range: $66,096 - $131,274
