Description
Essential Functions of the Position: Development of curriculum that is hands-on (as appropriate), in collaboration with Continuing Education leaders Preparation of instructional materials (as appropriate) Delivery of instruction, including being prepared for and meeting courses and laboratories (if appropriate) at scheduled times Assess and reflect on student progress Classroom management Collaboration with Oakton staff and our partners Compliance with departmental and institutional policies and procedures including but not limited to submission of final grades Job Requirements: Must have an associates degree or higher in education and significant experience with special education students; significant experience with special education students aged 13+ is preferred Good knowledge of current special education topics and methodologies Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities Must be enthusiastic about working with, and meeting the needs of a special needs population Excellent communication skills Additional Information: Offsite: Residence Inn, Wilmette Salary is $25/hour and the term of employment is 4/16/25 through 5/9/25.
