Assistant Production Manager - Modular Home Factory

The Assistant Production Manager plays a crucial role in the organization, working closely with the Factory Manager to oversee the production of modular homes. This position involves supervising Habitat for Humanity professional construction staff, volunteers, and future homeowners who participate in construction. Additionally, this position works closely with the Boulder Valley School District building trades program, its leadership, and its students. The Assistant Factory Manager ensures that all activities are conducted in accordance with State of Colorado production standards along with Habitat safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Production Oversight: Collaborate with the Factory Manager to coordinate daily production schedules and tasks related to modular home construction.
Supervision: Provide direct supervision of factory floor activities. Provide guidance to other full-time staff, Habitat for Humanity volunteers, and homeowners actively building. Oversee sub-contractors work and scheduling.
Training and Development: Assist in training staff, volunteers and students on construction techniques, safety procedures, and the proper use of tools and equipment.
Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory levels of building materials and supplies, ensuring adequate stock for ongoing projects.
Community Engagement: Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages teamwork, skill development, and community engagement among staff, volunteers and students.

Qualifications:
Previous experience (3-5 years) in construction and construction management preferably in a modular home factory.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively work with diverse groups of staff, volunteers and students.
Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction techniques.
Ability to read construction documents and translate complicated information to staff, volunteers and students.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
Maintain a high standard of safety
Provide training and teach hands-on to all team members
Plan and prepare all work sites for the days schedule
Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred.
Prior experience working with volunteers or in educational settings is highly desirable.
Prior experience with CAD and ability to create drawings highly desirable
Work Environment: The Assistant Factory Manager will work primarily in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Occasional travel to construction sites or community events may be required.

Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, stand for extended periods, and operate construction tools and equipment safely.

Compensation: Generous PTO, Health Benefits, 401K Match. $70,000-$80,000
