About Commercial Our Commercial organization leads our global sales and marketing strategies around the world. Our integrated team continues to solidify BioMarin's commercial presence in the United States and Europe and is rapidly growing in other regions, such as Latin America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. Summary Description This position plays a key role within the Pipeline and Portfolio Strategy organization focused on driving commercial strategy for BioMarin's early-stage programs. Main responsibilities will include being Commercial lead for early-stage programs leading up to and including demonstration of clinical proof-of-concept (Phase 2). S/he will provide objective, in-depth analytical assessments on current and future markets, customers, and competitors. Additionally, this position will assess critical business issues and opportunities for growth, collaborate with research and development colleagues in assessing markets, and support executing key strategies for the early-stage programs. The position will also work closely with Business Development in the assessment of in-licensing opportunities. The position works closely with colleagues in Research, Early Clinical Development, Global Medical Affairs, Market Access, Competitive Intelligence, Business Development, and Product Portfolio Development to support early-stage program development and develop cross-functional business cases. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Bachelors, preferably in life sciences • MBA, preferred; MPH or PhD in life sciences a plus • 6+ years in commercial or analytical role in life sciences, preferably pharmaceutical/biotech Note: This description is not intended to be all-inclusive, or a limitation of the duties of the position. The salary range for this position is: $159,800 to $239,600. BioMarin considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
