Position Title: Maintenance Scheduler Pay Rate: starting $37.10/hour Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Location: Senatobia, MS
Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Maintenance Scheduler to support the efficient work management process within our Maintenance Department. This role plays a critical part in planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance work while ensuring minimal disruption to operations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead coordination meetings with Operations and Maintenance teams to align on equipment availability.
- Develop and manage weekly maintenance schedules, assigning tasks to the appropriate technicians.
- Prioritize work based on equipment criticality and operational impact.
- Ensure maintenance work is completed within scheduled timeframes.
- Confirm availability of parts and materials prior to scheduling jobs.
- Create and maintain job kitting processes to support efficiency.
- Update Bills of Materials (BOMs) in SAP as needed.
- Develop and maintain a rolling 4-week maintenance plan.
- Analyze equipment history and performance data to improve preventative maintenance strategies.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Technical Proficiency: - Working knowledge of SAP and other CMMS platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong understanding of safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with production and utility equipment/systems.
Analytical & Organizational Skills: - Ability to interpret technical documentation (work orders, drawings, manuals).
- Experience analyzing maintenance data (OEE, downtime, costs).
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
Tools & Materials Interaction: - Occasional use of standard hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Use of data systems for requisitions, vendor contracts, and reports.
Collaboration & Communication: - Regular interaction with internal stakeholders (Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, EHS, Finance, etc.)
- Coordination with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure work is properly planned and supported.
Education & Experience: Required:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a maintenance planning or scheduling role in an industrial setting.
Preferred:
- Associate degree or higher in a related field.
- 5+ years working in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a scheduling or planning function.
