Resp & Qualifications PURPOSE: The Clinical Pharmacist Associate will serve as a medication expert supporting a broad range of member facing professional activities and responsibilities. This position is responsible for the comprehensive management of member medication reviews, patient education, and medication care plan development and tracking. The Clinical Pharmacist Associate will collaborate with nurses, social workers, and physicians to integrate services for the best possible care of CareFirst FEP members. The Clinical Pharmacist Associate's services are comprised of individual interventions each of which is intended to elicit a change in patient's drug therapy, reduce the incidence of adverse drug events, and improve adherence to medication regimens. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
QUALIFICATIONS: Education Level: PharmD, Pharmacy (Doctorate of Pharmacy) Experience: 3 years of experience in clinical pharmacy, preferably in a managed care environment Licenses/Certifications PHARMD - Licensed Pharmacist Active in any state and/or DC Registered Pharmacist Upon Hire Required Candidates must live in the MD/DC/VA area in order to travel into the offices a few times per month (or more frequently as needed).
