Description

Shift: 7:00am - 11:00am

Set Pay Rate: $38.00 per hour

Essential Functions:

• Follow applicable federal and NISP (National Industrial Security Program) requirements for handling classified information

• Responsible for directing security measures as applied by the NISP Operating Manual (NISPOM) at the facility sites

• Responsible for directing security measures necessary to protect classified information and is a point of contact for the government concerning security matters

• Ensure personnel are properly protecting classified and national security information

• Possess and maintain an active security clearance at the TS/SCI (Sensitive Compartmented Information) level, with a favorable polygraph test, needed by company personnel to execute its government contract

• Complete all required Security Officer training and maintain trainings and certification requirements

• Directly works with Chimes DC Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO)

• Report possible instances of espionage, counterintelligence, potential loss of classified information to Chimes DC FSO

• Report adverse information for cleared staff to Chimes DC FSO

• Assist Chimes DC FSO to conduct administrative inquiries for security violations related to cleared personnel

• Report foreign travel plans of cleared staff to Chimes DC FSO

• Assist staff with eAPP to maintain their security clearance Top Secret/SCI (Sensitive Compartmented Information) eligibility

• Assist Chimes DC FSO with coordinating staff polygraph test scheduling

• Assist Chimes DC FSO with initial and annual refresher security training

• Provide briefing/debriefing (SF312 - Non-Disclosure Agreement) for cleared personnel

• Demonstrate discretion in all matters related to cleared personnel

General Functions:

• Prepare and submit all required contract site and Chimes DC paperwork in a timely manner and as requested

• Pass and comply with all building and security requirements and procedures

• Ensure that all staff members observe security procedures for the building where they work

• Attend and participate in in-service training, staff meetings and other activities to facilitate professional development

• Work cooperatively and maintain effective communication with customers, supervisors, and staff using judgement and tact

• Contribute to a work atmosphere in a manner which is positive, respectful, and courteous

• Comply with all Agency policies and procedures and follow contract specifications

• Follow instructions

• Attend work regularly according to assigned work schedule and in accordance with Chimes DC policy

• Comply with dress code and personal hygiene standards

Secondary Functions:

• Assumes other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as needed

Physical Abilities Needed to Meet Work Demands:

• Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time

• Ability to go up and down stairs

• Ability to reach above the head, bend, kneel, stoop, and crawl

• Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 50 lbs. as needed

• Ability to work in dusty spaces or adverse weather conditions

• Ability to see details on the floor, above the head, or on surfaces

Other requirements:

• Top Secret/SCI national security clearance with favorable polygraph test

• Valid driver's license from state of residence and ability to drive

• License must have been valid for at least 3 years

• If driving a 15 passenger van, must be at least 25 years old

• Acceptable driving record as determined by Agency's insurance carrier and by Chimes DC policies and procedures

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree Preferred

• Knowledge of security software and applications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products

• High degree of skill in typing and computer utilization

• Thorough knowledge of standard English, basic arithmetic, and modern office methods and equipment

• Valid CPR/FA certification preferred

Experience:

• Five years of work experience

• One year of directly related security experience

• Two years of full-time employment with progressively responsible duties

Notes:

• At the discretion of the Personnel Officer, additional related experience and/or education may be substituted in lieu of the requirements specified above under Education and Experience
