Job Summary:
The Production Team Member at the Carlisle, PA CCW plant is responsible for running and assisting with the manufacturing process on the CCW production lines. This position is responsible for operating both the WIP sheeting line and the 500R hot applied operation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Must always be safety conscious
- Setting up assembly machines and materials for production
- Starting and operating assembly machines
- Completing required paperwork
- Total quality of all WIP and 500R products and job functions relating to those products
- Obtaining raw materials
- Moving finished goods to staging areas with forklifts
- Knowing and adhering to standards of quality specifications for packaging of all products
- General housekeeping, cleanliness, and organization of work areas
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge:
- SOP's, Processing specifications, and quality standards
- Web line sheeting manufacturing processes
- Plant wide safety systems and policies
- Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Forklift operation
- Skills:
- Mathematics including basic math skills and calculations with decimals
- Reading SOP's, processing specifications, and SDS (Safety Data Sheet) documents
- Writing out production and quality assurance paperwork
- Computer operations include utilizing SAP warehouse management systems, timeclocks, access data base, and the Microsoft Suite of applications

Education & Experience:
- Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience:
- Previous manufacturing/warehousing experience preferred
Equipment & Data Used:
- Equipment run on the job:
- Forklifts, pallet jacks, boom lifts, scissor lifts, cranes, lift tables, fall restraint systems, lab testing equipment, and computers
- Tools required on the job:
- Knives, scissors, various wrenches, push brooms, Stickney gauges, tape measures, scrapers, pencils, calculators, and various hand tools for minor adjustments.
- Data used on the job:
- Computer information, specification forms, deviation forms, SFIS data, Access database, SAP Warehouse Management System Data, timeclock information, and Microsoft outlook email
Work Environment/Time Worked:
- Work Environment:
- Work occurs inside a manufacturing plant
- Plant ambient temperatures in the summer matches the outside temperature
- Potential for temperatures exceeding 100 ᵒ F
- Plant is heated in the winter
- Exposure to calcium dust, mineral dust, fiberglass, and heated asphalt (PPE Provided)
- Pinch hazards on moving mechanical equipment and lab testing equipment
- May be required to work in confined or elevated spaces
- Heavy machinery includes forklifts, cranes, mixers, and hydraulic lifts
- Can be fast paced
- Time Worked:
- Monday - Friday with Saturday/Sunday overtime as business requires
- 3 Fixed Shifts (7:00AM - 3:00PM, 3:00PM - 11:00PM, 11:00PM - 7:00AM)
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting - must be able to lift up to 65lbs
- Pushing & Pulling - must be able to push and pull up to 65lbs
- Bending & Stooping - must be able to bend and stoop to retrieve materials
- Reaching - must be able to reach above shoulder level
- Climbing - must be able to climb stairs and ladders
- Walking & Standing - must be able to walk to and from areas of the plant and stand for the majority of the shift
- Sitting - must be able to sit while working on computers
- Sight - must be able to see and recognize hazards and warnings
- Grasping & Dexterity - must be able to use fingers and hands to operate machinery
- Talking & Hearing - must be able to effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, management, and other employees in the plant
