THE ROLE We are looking for a creative and collaborative Senior Manager of Design to oversee the design team in the development and production of visuals that support creative concepts and solutions. The position will apply expert knowledge of brand and design standards, visual storytelling and the creative landscape to support the delivery of high-quality assets and act as the lead designer on highly visible, top tier projects.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Develop visual assets in support of creative concepts for top tier/high visibility marketing campaigns and projects.
- Lead and manage a team of designers to produce high-quality visual content.
- Lead the ideation and development of innovative visual solutions.
- Ensure all visual content aligns with MFS' brand identity and goals.
- Review work in progress, providing feedback and hands-on support as needed.
- Support the design team's growth in technical and digital design expertise.
- Provide guidance and feedback to ensure the highest quality work.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning and improvement.
- Work closely with other creative team leads, creative team director and department leadership to promote innovative thinking and creative excellence.
- Implement, influence, and contribute to the broader Creative team strategy
- Stay up to date with industry trends and current best practices in design.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- 8-12+ years of design experience in a corporate setting.
- Proven expertise in graphic design, photography and typography.
- Strong skills in advanced design techniques (e.g.: color grading, 3D animation, motion graphics).
- Strong skills in digital design techniques and best practices for social, advertising and web, including UX and UI.
- Demonstrable technical and aesthetic knowledge of different visual media formats.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful design strategies.
- Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Excellent leadership, mentoring and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of branding and marketing principles.
- Outstanding visual, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience working on cross-functional teams and collaborating with various departments.
