Job Description

As a valued contributor to our team, you will be able to bring a creative approach to risk identification. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with peers across Fannie Mae Multifamily to assess potential Borrower, Servicer and property risks.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

The Multifamily Risk - Asset Management - Advisor, Collateral Management role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
  • Identify potential risk and perform Desktop Reviews of property inspections to assess next steps for analysis of Borrower and/or Servicer
  • Real time feedback and calibration to DUS Lenders on property condition issues within their portfolio
  • Interact with Borrowers regarding current and historical risks to Fannie Mae
  • Be relied upon to assist the Collateral Management Group and other teams with special projects and initiatives


THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Required Experience

  • 6 years relevant experience
  • Multifamily real estate experience, preferably in Asset Management, Troubled Asset Workouts or Underwriting
  • Ability to independently and timely assess issues in the Fannie Mae Multifamily portfolio


Desired Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience with the Delegated Underwriting and Servicing (DUS) program is preferred
  • Relationship Management skills including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, and building relationship networks
  • Influencing skills including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
  • Must be able to work with individuals having a different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively while working toward a common goal
  • Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
  • Skilled in Excel
