About Commercial Our Commercial organization leads our global sales and marketing strategies around the world. SUMMARY DESCRIPTION The Senior Director, Global Commercial Learning & Capability Transformation will lead a bold reinvention of our commercial learning strategy. This individual will combine deep experience in rare disease and product launch with the strategic application of modern learning technologies-especially GenAI and adaptive learning platforms-to build a future-proof capability model for our commercial organization. This leader will develop and implement a global learning strategy that supports field force effectiveness, product launches, and brand alignment-while driving digital fluency and operational excellence across the commercial organization. Reporting to the VP of Business Operations & Strategy, the Senior Director will champion a dynamic, data-informed, and customer-centric approach to capability development that moves beyond static, one-size-fits-all content delivery. The role will primarily focus on Commercial-encompassing Sales and Marketing-while requiring strong collaboration with core Business Operations & Strategy functions, including Digital, Business Insights & Analytics (BI&A), and Planning & Performance (P&P), to ensure training strategies are insight-driven, scalable, and performance-focused. Effective engagement with Medical Affairs, Value & Access, and other adjacent functions will also be important where appropriate. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Bachelor's degree required; Master's or advanced training in Learning Sciences, Education Technology, Organizational Development or related field preferred TOOLS & SYSTEMS Familiarity with: GenAI tools (e.g., GPT-based systems), Veeva, Salesforce, LMS/LXP platforms, SCORM, Adobe, Microsoft Office WORK ENVIRONMENT Hybrid/onsite preferred; ability to travel domestically and internationally to support field teams and global deployment San Rafael, CA, is strongly desired. The salary range for this position is: $213,000 to $292,930. BioMarin considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
