Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Infection Preventionist (Non-RN) **2 years of infection prevention experience required**. Under the guidance of the Director of Infection Prevention and Control, the Non-RN Infection Preventionist (IP) is responsible for ensuring a safe environment by identifying and minimizing infection risks for patients, employees, and visitors at all NYU Langone Health patient care delivery sites. The IP works collaboratively with healthcare teams to implement evidence-based infection prevention measures. Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Bachelors Degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Microbiology or related field. Minimum of two years of experience in infection prevention or related field. Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) required within 3 years. Required Licenses: Certn Board of Infection Control Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree In Nursing, Public Health or Allied Field. Membership in the Association for Professional in Infection Prevention and Epidemiology Inc. Solid body of knowledge of microbiology, epidemiology, principles of adult education.
