Job Summary:
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) - SG&A is an integral HR partner to the business supporting the salaried, exempt employees across the SG&A functions of Carlisle Architectural Metals (CAM)-including Sales, Technical Solutions, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, and other administrative teams. This individual serves as the primary HR contact for people leaders and employees across these functions, ensuring alignment of our organizational people strategies with business priorities while fostering a high-performance, engaged, and inclusive culture.
The HRBP supports a national workforce of approximately 200 employees, both remote and facility-based, and partners closely with functional leaders, Corporate CCM HR, and the Director of HR for SG&A. As CAM continues to evolve as a unified business following multiple acquisitions, the HRBP plays a critical role in organizational development, employee engagement, talent processes, and may support future M&A integration efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Partnership:
Act as a trusted advisor to leaders within SG&A functions, aligning HR initiatives with business needs and supporting team effectiveness, talent planning, and organizational alignment. - Primary HR Support for SG&A Teams:
Serve as the main point of contact for employees and managers across our business units; provide real-time HR support and strategic guidance across all areas of the employee lifecycle. - Organizational Development & Change Management:
Contribute to post-M&A integration efforts, team alignment, org design work, and communication strategies that support the transition into a unified One CAM culture. - Talent Development & Performance Management:
Lead and reinforce talent processes including goal setting, performance reviews, talent calibration, Individual Development Plans (IDPs), and manager development. - Employee Engagement:
Coordinate Gallup survey execution and follow-through, drive leadership participation in coaching, and ensure accountability for engagement action planning. - Compensation & Workforce Planning:
Support job evaluations, compensation benchmarking, and annual merit/incentive planning in partnership with Corporate Compensation and leadership. - M&A and Project Support:
Participate in future HR workstreams tied to M&A activity or company-wide initiatives to support integration, culture building, and process optimization. - Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
Partner with Corporate Talent Acquisition Team to support salaried hiring and onboarding efforts for a seamless and aligned new hire experience. - Employee Relations & Policy Administration:
Coach leaders through employee relations matters, ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance with internal policies and applicable labor laws. - Process Improvement & Reporting:
Identify and lead HR-related process improvements that elevate the employee experience; maintain and analyze HR data and reporting through Workday or other systems. Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related field required
- 3-5 years of HR business partner or generalist experience with a salaried workforce
- Experience supporting national, distributed teams preferred in a matrixed or multi-site environment
- Background in M&A is a plus
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong business acumen and ability to partner cross-functionally with senior leaders
- Ability to build relationships and influence across a geographically dispersed workforce
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
- Familiarity with organizational development, engagement strategies, and change management
- HRIS and reporting capabilities (ADP experience preferred)
- Understanding of employment law and policy administration across multiple states
Working Conditions:
- Preferred location: Waukesha, WI (CAM Headquarters); other CAM facilities considered
- Standard hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST (with flexibility in start and end times as needed)
- Occasional travel required to CAM sites and Carlisle Corporate offices across the U.S.
