Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Nursing Quality Specialist **Certification in speciality area required. 3 Years of Pediatric or Neonatal ICU Experience Highly Preferred** In this role, the successful candidate supports Departments of Nursings quality and safety programs; provides quality improvement facilitation and support for nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams undertaking improvement initiatives; assists Director of Nursing Quality with assessment of the learning needs of nursing staff as they pertain to quality and performance improvement; assists with the provision of education and mentoring in the methods and tools of rapid cycle and continuous quality improvement; participates in monitoring of regulatory compliance, identifies opportunities for improvement, and assists patient care units with development and implementation of improvement strategies; participates in occurrence reviews, complaint investigations, RCAs, FMEAs and assists in facilitation of the corrective action plans with nursing leadership and staff; assists with benchmarking activities with the National Database for Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI), University Healthsystem Consortium (UHC) and other organizations as appropriate. Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Bachelor's in Nursing degree. Registered Professional Nurse in the State of New York. Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association. Minimum of 3 years of recent clinical experience in acute care nursing with demonstrated leadership skills. Excellent writing, editing, and graphic skills. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; attention to detail; possesses performance improvement methodology; self-directed. Understanding of change management, professional practice, project management, and current issues and trends in nursing and health care. Computer expertise in Microsoft Office applications and expertise in analyzing, interpreting and presenting data using graphs, tables, etc. Certification in speciality area required. Membership in relevant professional organizations. Required Licenses: Registered Nurse License-NYS. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $112,360.00 - $150,450.04 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
