REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This individual reports to the Respiratory Care Department leadership team, including Director, Manager. This individual does not have direct reports. POSITION SUMMARY The Clinical Resource Therapist will be competent to care for patients of all ages to include neonatal, infant, children, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Standards of performance and skills required for the Registered Respiratory Therapist level must be maintained at the mastery level, as these skills are necessary to the integration of clinical, technical, and didactic aspects of Respiratory Care. The Clinical Resource Therapist performs these assigned duties and responsibilities according to regulatory standards, clinical practice guidelines, policies and procedures approved by the Medical Directors and Administration. This individual will frequently make independent decisions in accordance with clinical practice guidelines, policies, and procedures. The individual must be committed to providing patients and families with a positive experience through compassionate care and excellent service, safely and efficiently. This individual will display professionalism at all times and maintain patient confidentiality. ACCOUNTABILITIES *All duties listed below are essential unless noted otherwise*
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program and maintain credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Skills: Maintain the security of patient and employee confidentiality in all forms of communication. Be able to communicate and interact effectively and collaboratively with a variety of professionals, including physicians, nurses, care navigators and administrators, to promote a seamless patient care continuum. Be able to understand and comprehend directions and be able to communicate and respond to inquiries. Be able to input and retrieve computer information. Have excellent interpersonal, organizational, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Take ownership of problems, handle stress in a professional and healthy manner, and make informed decisions. Adheres to the code of ethics set forth by state respiratory care boards. Be dependable, reliable, and punctual in accordance with department attendance policy, including mandatory overtime and on-call rotation, as needed. Attends required and staff meetings, including in-services, in accordance with department policy. Must appear professional and abide by appropriate dress code policy. Years of Experience: N/A License: Maintain credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Licensed to render respiratory care services by the respective state(s) of practice � Ohio and/or Michigan Certification: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: A Bachelor�s Degree in Science, Business, Respiratory Therapy, or related field Skills: N/A Years of Experience: N/A License: Membership in the American Association of Respiratory Care and other professional organizations is encouraged. Certification: BLS Instructor Certification
WORKING CONDITIONS Personal Protective Equipment: N/A Physical Demands: Tolerate exposure to infectious diseases and follow infection prevention and control strategies. Be able to move about hospital and between workstations, efficiently and effectively. Must be able to occasionally and with assistance move heavy weight materials, equipment, or patients.
