Job Summary
Carlisle Weatherproofing Technology has an immediate opening for a strong, mechanically minded individual with team player, and success-oriented skills in our Wylie, TX Plant.
Shift: 8 pm - 4:30 am, training will be conducted on 1st shift
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Experience and background in electrical troubleshooting, repair, and installations of new, and existing plant services.
- Experience and general knowledge of PLC technology.
- Must have mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience in production and plant equipment, piping experience consisting of cutting, threading, and installations.
- Welding experience in stick and oxy-acetylene torch capabilities is required .
- Must have millwright skills, which include new equipment installations, alignment, and rigging experience.
- Experience working with Steam, Process Oil, and Cooling Water utilities a plus . Pump troubleshooting, rebuilding, repair, and replacement a must .
- Asphalt plant, and processing knowledge a strong plus.
Required Knowledge / Skills/Abilities:
- Operate all hand tools such as drills, grinders, saws, etc.
- Basic carpentry skills a plus .
- Must have good oral and written skills. Computer literacy is a plus.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed, including emergency calls.
- Must be a team player and work well with others.
- Must be highly motivated, willing, and able to work with minimum supervision and be goal-oriented, with a desire to constantly strive for perfection.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Some college or technical training
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to safely lift in excess of 50 lbs.
- Ability to work from step ladders as well as extension ladders or lifts without fear of heights.
- Must follow all Henry Co. safety procedures relative to any maintenance-related task.
