Laboratory Medicine Consultants (LMC Pathology Services, A Sonic Healthcare Anatomic Pathology Practice) is recruiting for a Doctor of Medicine (M.D./D.O.) with completion of residency training (either hematology or pathology) Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology and/or Dermatology. We are seeking candidates interested in a dynamic, multi-specialty pathology practice serving both inpatient and outpatient clients. Our practice is hospital-based. The successful candidate will work alongside one or more senior pathologists in one of the ten Las Vegas hospital served by our group. Sign-out responsibilities will include a diverse mix of inpatient hospital cases and an allocation of outpatient cases.

Essential Key Responsibilities:
  • Examines and interprets prepared tissue sections and body fluids and secretions by using a variety of microscope techniques, including light microscopy, electron microscopy and fluorescence microscopy.
  • Diagnosis, from body tissue, fluids, secretions or other specimens the presence and stage of disease or other abnormalities, utilizing laboratory techniques and dictates findings.

Hematopathology:
  • Completion of an approved four year residency in anatomic and/or clinical pathology; and
  • Completion of a one year training in an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education accredited hematology pathology program; and
  • Be certified in clinical pathology by the America Board of Pathology or the American Osteopathic Board of Pathology or possess qualifications that are equivalent to those required for such certification; and
  • Be certified in a subspecialty program approved by an American Board of Medical Specialties, and is Board Certified in the subspecialty of hematology.
