Your Role:

As a Software Engineer at CSAA Insurance Group, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the data infrastructure that supports our innovative insurance solutions.

Your work:
  • Maintain scalable data pipelines, troubleshoot and resolve related incidents and issues to support CSAA Insurance Group's data-driven processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support high-quality data solutions that enhance our insurance products and services
  • Effective Prod support activities on ODI platform (Oracle Data Integrator)
  • Flexible to work in shifts, weekend on call rotation and month end support.
  • Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to ensure efficient and secure data management, adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements
  • Implement data governance and data quality measures to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across the organization
  • Support and maintain data pipelines and processes to integrate data from various sources, including internal systems and external partners
  • Support the deployment and monitoring of data infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance of data systems
  • Participate in the evaluation and adoption of new data technologies and tools to improve data engineering capabilities and efficiency
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards, protecting sensitive member information and maintaining trust in CSAA Insurance Group's services

Required Experience
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a similar technical field, or a comparable mix of education and practical experience
  • 2-4 years professional experience
  • Proven experience in data engineering or a related field
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing
  • Proficiency in SQL and Cloud Data Platform like Snowflake or BigQuery
  • experience with big data technologies such as EMR, Glue, Spark, and/or Kafka
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (AWS Preferred)
  • Knowledge of data governance and data quality principles
  • Excellent problem-solving , troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

  • Travels as needed for role, including divisional / team meetings and other in-person meetings.

The national average salary range for this position is $105,345- $117,050. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $94,815 - $140,550. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 8% of eligible pay.
