JOB TITLE: Machine Operator
LOCATION: Lebanon, OH

We are seeking a reliable Machine Operator to join our dynamic team.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate operation of EPS molding and cutting machines, ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety procedures are consistently met.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure all work is performed with safety as the top priority.
- Operate molding machines, block molding machines, and cutting equipment according to standard operating procedures.
- Monitor machine performance, material feed, cycle times, and output quality throughout production shifts.
- Adjust machine settings to maintain product specifications and minimize material waste.
- Inspect finished products for conformance to specifications and report any defects or inconsistencies.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and workstations.
- Document production data accurately, including material usage, output volumes, and machine logs.
- Assist with mold changes, machine setups, and material preparation as needed.
- Collaborate with maintenance and quality control teams to resolve equipment or process issues promptly.
- Follow all plant safety regulations, PPE requirements, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free production environment.
- Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support loading/unloading of molded blocks or products when required.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, stacking, and moving products.
- Train new machine operators and production helpers as required.
- Other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor or Plant Manager.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
- Familiarity with EPS manufacturing equipment, including molding and cutting machines, is an asset.
- Ability to understand production drawings, machine settings, and technical instructions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math and computer skills for data entry and machine interface use.
- Understanding of workplace safety practices, WHMIS, and lockout/tagout procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing production environment preferred.
- Forklift certification is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of production machinery and mechanical systems.
- Experience with shift work and meeting production targets is an asset.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Able to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse or loading dock environment, including exposure to varying temperatures.
