The Admissions Counselor or Assistant Director of Admissions opening is for a full-time, entry-level position in the Admissions Office. Responsibilities include admissions recruitment and selection duties; 6-9 weeks of recruitment travel; territory management and relationship-building in assigned geographic areas; interviewing; public speaking, and application review. Additional responsibilities include organizing and coordinating events for prospective students, preparing communications content, and other admission-related duties as assigned. A Bachelor’s degree, and a valid United States driver’s license is required. Experience in undergraduate college admissions as an admissions counselor, admissions intern and/or admissions tour guide is preferred. Title and salary dependent on years of experience. The successful candidate should have excellent demonstrated abilities in the following: communicate verbally and in writing; speak confidently in front of large groups; effectively organize activities and projects on time; work collaboratively and well with a diverse group of people in a dynamic environment, and analyze data effectively for program improvement.
