Welcome to Whataburger Careers! This position will support Office of General Counsel (OGC) projects and RTB activities. Reviews contracts, supports OGC staff attorneys and assist other legal department leadership with legal matters.. Position will be responsible for completing other tasks as assigned. Responsibilities: Conduct in-depth research on relevant legal matters as assigned. Create memorandums and presentation materials with recommendations on legal matters. Works collaboratively with others (internally) to achieve common objects, goals, and results. Assists staff attorneys with matters relating to Compliance, Employment, Government Affairs, Contracts, Real Estate, Franchise, and Litigation. Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned. Education : Associate's or Bachelor's Degree or Currently enrolled in College and have completed a minimum of 80 hours Experience: 0 - 3 months experience Knowledge, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Demonstrated ability to communicate and maintain effective working relationships Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment Proficiency in data entry and MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint Proficiency in Workday preferred Elementary knowledge of practices and procedures in a particular field of specialization in the execution of assigned duties and responsibilities Elementary understanding of departmental structure and policies of Whataburger Restaurants LLC Working Conditions/Travel Requirements: Expected to work the necessary time to satisfactorily fulfill job responsibilities Must be able to report to work timely and as required by operational/business needs Some travel, both locally and long distances, (including air travel), to worksites, meeting sites, and other locations may be necessary 300 Concord Plaza Dr San Antonio TX 78216-6903
